The Second Annual PlanetOut Short Movie Awards highlights films and videos by, for, about or of-interest to gay, lesbian, bi or transgender audiences. Picture This! Entertainment will be screening finalists for potential inclusion on the 2001 PlanetOut Short Movie Awards DVD release. Cash awards include: one Grand Prize of $10,000 and five First Prize awards of $1000 in each of the following categories: drama, comedy, documentary, animation and experimental. Finalists will also be screened on AtomFilms.com. The awards will be part of Outfest: The Los Angeles Gay & Lesbian Film Festival. Submissions must be 20 minutes or under and are limited to legal residents of the U.S. and Canada. Previews: VHS NTSC format only.
