Thomas Town, a newly created children's area based on the popular THOMAS & FRIENDS brand, opened today at Six Flags Magic Mountain.

This play area is designed to entertain children of all ages, and is centered around a train ride on a Thomas the Tank Engine replica that takes guests on a journey through Thomas' mythical home on the Island of Sodor. In addition, the area includes a Percy roller coaster and Cranky the Crane interactive water play area. Sir Topham Hatt, Controller of the Railway, is on hand to pose for photos and greet visitors. A THOMAS & FRIENDS store located within the play area will feature an assortment of merchandise, including the popular THOMAS & FRIENDS die cast trains; adult and children's apparel; storybooks; and other items.

The opening of Thomas Town marks the beginning of a summer-long series of new events at Six Flags Magic Mountain. On June 14, the new CSI LIVE! stage show debuts. Based on the top-rated CBS television series, audience members join the adventure as our CSI forensic team investigates the evidence, examines the clues and solves the mystery.

On July 5, a series of 14 weekend concerts will begin with various performers appealing to all ages such as Lupillo Rivera, Colby O'Donis and Hawk Nelson. Additionally, Sunday Rocks! presented by DANCEDANCEREVOLUTION, will feature performances by Mario, Menudo and Raven, among others.
