Pixologic Unveils First Ever 3D Turntable Gallery

Pixologic Inc. has launched the ZBrush Turntable Gallery. The first of its kind, the ZBrush Turntable Gallery allows viewers to interactively rotate a 3D model a full 360 degrees.

The gallery will allow artists to further appreciate and study ZBrush sculptures in a way that could not be done with just a still image. With every turn of the model, new forms and details are revealed, giving you an entirely new image to study.

"When an artist uses ZBrush to sculpt, paint, and pose their model, they should be able to show off every bit of it, not just a single frame. The ZBrush Turntable Gallery was created to give artists the control over what details they were viewing on a given model. We will continue building the ZBrush Turn Table Gallery with weekly additions and at the same time, offer new viewing functionality," said Martin Knapp, Pixologic marketing and education manager.

Artists who use transpose (ZBrush's rigging and posing system) often do so in order to give form and feeling to a scene. Now you can simply enjoy those artistic expressions from every angle.

"Short of actually holding the model in your hand, the turntable gallery is a great way of getting a more intimate look at some of the incredible work of the great masters of ZBrush. Being able to view the model from different angles, and in real time, gives me a better feel of the dimensionality of the sculpt, and a better grasp of all the detail work. It's a great new resource that is helpful to beginning artists, and an inspiration to seasoned artists trying to push their work even further," added 3D Artists Dana Acciavatti.

ZBrush retails for $595 and can be purchased and downloaded online at the Pixologic e-store www.pixologic.com/store. ZBrush is also available from Pixologic ZBrush authorized resellers for both Windows and Mac platform.
