Pixar announced three upcoming animated features at CinemaCon, the official convention for the National Association of Theater Owners.

The first new film announced, due in theaters May 30, 2014, is The Good Dinosaur, a film about an alternate Earth in which the asteroid that caused the prehistoric beasts' extinction missed the planet entirely. The film will be directed by Bob Peterson, whose career with Pixar stems back to the original Toy Story. He also co-directed the Academy Award-winning tearjerker Up, and voiced the iconic character Roz in Monsters, Inc. John Walker, producer for The Incredibles, will produce.

The second film announced, due in theaters June 19, 2015, is The Untitled Pixar Movie That Takes You Inside the Human Mind. TUPMTTYIHM will be directed by Pete Docter, Bob Peterson's co-director on Up, who made his directorial debut with Monsters, Inc. Jonas Rivera (Up) will produce.

The final project announced is The Untitled Pixar Movie About Dia de los Muertos, directed by Lee Unkrich and produced by Darla K. Anderson, the filmmaking team behind Toy Story 3. No release date has been set yet, but the studio promises “a wholly original…film that delves into the vibrant holiday of Día de los Muertos.”

Pixar's next motion picture, the Scotland-based Brave, arrives in theaters on June 22.
