Philip Carrera's Dan Mog Bounces into Festivals

Independent animator Philip Carrera has teamed up with accomplished music composer Matt Messina (The Seattle Symphony) and actor Jeff Witzke (FAMILY GUY, THANK YOU FOR SMOKING) to create a six-minute animated short titled DAN MOG: AN OLD DOG LEARNS A NEW TRICK.

Since its release earlier this summer, the film has screened at a number of festivals around the U.S., including KidsFilmFest, The Los Angeles International Children's Film Festival, The Illinois International Film Festival, and The KidsFirst! Film Festival in Goldsboro, North Carolina, where it was nominated for Best Short Short: Ages 5 -12.

Dan's long-standing reign as the world's greatest ball boy in professional tennis has come to an end. Forced to seek a new career, Dan learns that not all jobs can make use of a dog's natural instincts. In fact, sometimes they can get in the way.
