PGS Secures New 'Kidventure' Sales

PGS Entertainment licenses A Squared Entertainment’s Secret KidVenture Club in Thailand, Singapore, Brazil, and Israel.

Paris, France --

Leading kids programming distributor and brand manager PGS Entertainment has licensed A Squared Entertainment’s innovative series Secret KidVenture Club (26 X 30min) to MediaCorp in Singapore, Workpoint Entertainment in Thailand, Globosat in Brazil and ZOOM channel in Israel.  The announcement was made by Guillaume Soutter, President of PGS HK Limited.

Created with businessman and philanthropist Warren Buffett, Secret KidVenture Club empowers kids by helping them understand the world they live in, teaching them about the impact their decisions have on their own lives.  Aimed at kids 6 to 11 years old, the animated series features four main characters as they set out to learn valuable and practical lessons about decision making, working together and controlling their own destinies.  Along the way, they meet stars like basketball great Shaquille O’Neal, rapper Jay Z, singer/actress Kelly Rowland and technology impresario and philanthropist Bill Gates, among other famous faces, who give them their own practical advice.

“Broadcasters around the world are seeing the value in offering their young viewers a unique TV series that both entertains and teaches kids how to make key decisions about their lives and finances,” said Guillaume Soutter.  “There’s nothing like this on television for kids and leave it to A Squared to create a star-studded show that appeals to pre-teens, and gets the stamp of approval from their parents.”

In addition to the television series, Secret KidVenture Club also has a companion website: www.smckids.com, with webisodes, educational games and more.

Secret KidVenture Club is already a hit series in the U.S. on The Hub and is available on DVD through Gaiam Vivendi Entertainment.  There is an annual, nationwide competition, called the “Grow Your Own Business Challenge” that extends to more than 100,000 classrooms and youth organizations in the U.S., encouraging kids to contribute their own business ideas using what they’ve learned from Secret KidVenture Club. And there will be an exclusive line of Secret KidVenture Club branded merchandise introduced at Toys R Us this Fall.
