PGA's DVD and Beyond Panel Discussion Universal City, California, USAMarch 18, 2004
The PGA New Media Council is hosting a DVD and Beyond panel discussion, featuring the DVD producers and executives behind THE ADVENTURES OF INDIANA JONES DVD COLLECTION, SEABISCUIT, ALIENS QUADRILOGY, X-MEN 2, THE SIMPSONS, STEP INTO LIQUID, T2: Extreme DVD, FINDING NEMO, THE LION KING SPECIAL EDITION, SHREK and MINIORITY REPORT. Scott Hettrick, home entertainment editor of VARIETY and editor in chief of VIDEO BUSINESS and DVD EXCLUSIVE will lead the discussion on the future of DVD production.
The focus will be on key issues in DVD Production, including the state of the business, digital piracy/copyright protection and the emerging trends in DVD technology and distribution vehicles. Panelists will include Andy Siditsky, svp of DVD productions and worldwide creative services for Disneys Buena Vista Home Entertainment; Laurent Bouzereau, who has written, directed and produced more than 90 Making Of documentaries for some of the most acclaimed filmmakers including Steven Spielberg, George Lucas, Martin Scorsese, Brian De Palma and Peter Bogdanovich; Randy Wells, Lions Gate Ent. exec director of marketing; Blaine Graboyes, media architect for Studio Cognito; Mark Rowen, DVD producer on INDIANA JONES TRILOGY (co-producer), CATCH ME IF YOU CAN, SINBAD, ROAD TO PERDITION, THE MISSING, GLADIATOR, SHREK, ALMOST FAMOUS: UNTITLED and MINORITY REPORT; and Jim Ramo, ceo of Movielink. Networking and cocktails will begin at 7:30 pm with the discussion starting at 8:00 pm. It will take place at Universal Studios, Theatre #1, 100 Universal City Plaza, Universal City, California 91608. There is no charge to Active PGA Members, $10 to guests accompanied by Active PGA Members and $20 to Non Members and Inactive PGA.
