PGA New Media Council Talks with Top Toon Makers!

The PGA New Media Council is hosting a panel discussion on animation production, featuring players from Sony Imageworks, Cartoon Network, DreamWorks Feature Animation, Disney Feature Animation, Universal Cartoon Studios, TOKYOPOP and JibJab Media. The focus will be on key issues of animation production including the state of the business, pitching and deal making, domestic and foreign production studios, skill sets vital to animation producers, technology used to create new animation styles and distribution venues, and designing animation projects to draw the right audience.

Moderating the event will be Heather Kenyon, director of development original animation, Cartoon Network. Panelists include: Teresa Cheng, producer on DreamWorks MADAGASCAR; Randy Fullmer, producer/director on Disneys CHICKEN LITTLE; John Kafka, producer on Universals VAN HELSING: THE LONDON ASSIGNMENT and RIDDICK: DARK FURY; Steve Galloway, director of film & TV at TOKYOPOP; and Greg Spiridellis, co-founder of JibJab Media.

The event is free for Active PGA members, $10 to guests of Active PGA members, $20 to non-members. The event will take place on Nov. 11, 2004, at Sony Imageworks Theatre, 9050 West Washington Blvd., Culver City, California 90232.
