The Producer's Guild of America has issued nominations for Producer of the Year Award Animated Film. In the running is Darla K. Anderson for Walt Disney Pictures/Pixar Animation's CARS. For DreamWorks Animation's FLUSHED AWAY, the nominees are Cecil Kramer and Peter Lord. Doug Mitchell, George Miller and Bill Miller are up for Warner Bros.' HAPPY FEET. A nom for 20th Century Fox Animation's ICE AGE: THE MELTDOWN goes to Lori Forte. Steve Starkey and Jack Rapke share noms for Sony's MONSTER HOUSE.
This is only the second year that the PGA has recognized animated features with a dedicated category. DreamWorks Animation's and Aardman Animations' WALLACE & GROMIT: CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT won the first toon award last year.
