Peter Risafi Top Comedy Central Brand Marketing Exec

Peter Risafi has been upped to svp, brand marketing/exec creative director, for Comedy Central and will continue to be based at the company's headquarters in New York City. In his newly expanded role, Risafi will be responsible for all brand creative and strategic marketing, ensuring a consistent look and unified voice for the Comedy Central brand across all media and platforms. This includes consumer, ad trade and affiliate marketing; network brand strategy and creative positioning; its digital assets and all other ancillary businesses. Risafi will also oversee all network-related consumer products and special events efforts.

Since joining Comedy Central in 2000, Risafi has spearheaded two network brand redesigns in 2000 and 2004, giving the cablenet a new dynamic and distinctive look. The rebranding efforts have garnered much acclaim for the creative and promotional teams and won dozens of industry awards for marketing, promotion and design execution.

Previously, Risafi was exec producer/creative director for the launch of SoapNet for Disney/ABC Cable Networks. Prior to that, he was vp/creative director of Lifetime Television Networks' on-air and off-air creative group where he headed up all creative efforts for on air, as well as print advertising.

Before Lifetime, he was creative director/exec producer for the launch of Nickelodeon's Latin American networks. Earlier, Risafi was an exec producer of on air promotion and short form programming at fX/fXM Fox Cable Networks and held various positions at Nickelodeon and Nick at Night.
