Pete Von Sholly's New Book Exhibited in Burbank

Pete Von Sholly Exhibit Burbank, California, USADec. 1-15, 2006

Hyaena Gallery is presenting a special sneak peek at Pete Von Sholly's upcoming new book, THE EXTREMELY WEIRD ALPHABET, which is being published by Dark Horse Comics.

Pete Von Sholly is an artist/writer/producer/director with an emphasis on the fantastic side of the arts. One of Hollywood's legendary storyboard artists, Von Sholly has worked on more than 100 feature films including DARKMAN, JAMES & THE GIANT PEACH, MARS ATTACKS!, NIGHTMARE ON ELM ST. (parts 3 and 4) and THE SHAWSHANK REDEMPTION.

Also being featured in this exhibit will be Pete Von Sholly's H.P. Lovecraft portfolio, THE DREAM-QUEST OF UNKNOWN KADATH, which has been called "Lovecraft's Lord of the Rings," an epic hallucinogenic odyssey through his unique "dreamworld" -- a place of exotic lands peopled with monsters, gods and monstrous gods. It is a saga of epic proportions featuring HPL's eternal dream-master, Randolph Carter and his quest for the Sunset City of his childhood. Pete Von Sholly presents a 20-piece portfolio showcasing some of the visual highlights of this little-known fantasy masterpiece, available to the public for the first time at Hyaena.

An opening reception will be held on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2006, from 8:00 pm to 12:00 midnight. It is free and open to the public. For more information, visit www.hyaenagallery.com.
