Alexandra Daddario (PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYMPIANS) has landed the female lead in THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE 3D, reports Variety. The new film picked up right after where the 1974 original left off.
John Luessenhop (TAKERS) is the director. Adam Marcus and Debra Sullivan penned the screenplay with a rewrite by Kirsten Elms and Luessenhop. Carl Mazzocone is the producer alongside exec producers Avi Lerner and Mark Burg.
Lionsgate will release in the States with Nu Image repping it worldwide. The film will hit theaters on Oct. 5, 2012.
Filming will begin in Shreveport, LA this month.
