Sony Pictures Television has begun development on a ZOMBIELAND TV series, writes The Hollywood Reporter. Gavin Polone will produce the FOX and Sony project. The original feature's writers Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick will pen the series. The studios hope to have the half-hour series ready for the 2012-13 season. Sony said the TV series would replace the previously planned sequel.
