Announcement from Women in Animation:

The Phyllis Craig Scholarship Award committee of Women in Animation International is still taking applications for the 2012 Scholarship Award.

Each year, a $1,000 scholarship is given to one deserving animation student, along with a one-year membership in Women In Animation. For details on how to apply and to get an application form, interested animation students should log on to http://wia.animationblogspot.com/the-phyllis-craig-scholarship-fund/.

Phyllis Craig, one of the founding members of Women in Animation, had a long career in animation and was known for mentoring young and aspiring men and women into animation careers over the years.  After her untimely death, WIA set up the scholarship fund in her memory.

The annual beginning submission date is September 15th. The annual deadline is April 29th (Phyllis Craig's birthday), and the winner will be notified by July 1st.
