Tobe Hooper, the director of the legendary horror film THE TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE, will tackle an Arabian horror flick titled DJINN, writes The Hollywood Reporter. Imagenation Abu Dhabi will produce from a script by David Tully.

The story follows a young Emirati couple who moved back from the States into a high-rise luxury apartment built on the site of an ancient fishing village, which is haunted by a djinn.

Emirati director Nayla Al Khaja will assist Hooper as a cultural consultant.

Filming will take place in the United Arab Emirates in March.
