Gold Circle Films is planning a remake of Taiwanese supernatural thriller SILK, reports Heat Vision. Marko King, Mary King and Jonathan Watters (FRANKIE & ALICE) have been tapped to pen the script.

The story follows scientists who trap the ghost of a child and the detective tasked with interviewing the specter in order to discover who the ghost is and how it died. Gold Circle said they would be reworking the plot a great deal.

Gold Circle's Paul Brooks and Rob Cowan are the producers alongside exec producers Robin Jonas and Gold Circle's Scott Niemeyer. Brad Kessell, who got the project rolling, will oversee.
