Steven Spielberg will partner with FRINGE creators Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci to transform the comic series LOCKE & KEY into a TV series, reports Vulture. Based on Joe Hill's comic, the story follows three kids who travel to other worlds and gain special powers via a mysterious New England mansion.

TERMINATOR: THE SARAH CONNOR CHRONICLES writer/exec producer Josh Friedman will write and produce the series. When Kurtzman and Orci first attached themselves to the project, it was being developed as a feature film. Now DreamWorks TV will produce a series with 20th Century Fox TV.
