Sony Animation has tapped artists Cody Cameron and Kris Pearn to take the helm of the in-development sequel to CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, reports Variety. The original's directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller will exec produce.

Cameron was head of story and Pearn story artist on the first installment. Pearn also directed the direct-to-DVD release OPEN SEASON 3 for Sony as well.

Kirk Bodyfelt is producing and John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein have penned the script.
