Zack Snyder told the L.A. TIMES that he and 300 co-writer Kurt Johnstad have begun adapting the script for a feature version of Frank Miller's XERXES. He added that he has no directing agreement in place, but is eyeing it as a potential project.

Unrelated to 300, the story centers on Themistocles and the Battle of Artemisium.
