Alan Smith and Adam Foulkes, the famed commercials directing duo who were Oscars nominated for Best Animated Short for THIS WAY UP, are developing their first feature film COG, reports Variety. The story centers on Cog, a supermarket-worker rat with a golden voice. When he is rejected from a talent contest, he dresses up as a cute mouse and wins, but risks being revealed as a rat.

Nexus Prods.' Charlotte Bavasso and Christopher O'Reilly are producing. O'Reilly devised the story and the studio is now seeking a screenwriter.

Nexus is working on a combination of model backgrounds and CG characters for the film's style.
