Smarterville, Inc., a Web-based children’s media company, announced that Peter Doctorow, former president of Knowledge Adventure, has been named as president and chief executive officer. Doctorow also served as president of Philips Media, vice president of research and development at Davidson and Associates and vice president of marketing, international business and strategic planning at game-maker Accolade. While at Activision as president for the development studio, he was responsible for the creation of the first interactive movie, RETURN TO ZORK, based on the popular and critically acclaimed Infocom choose-your-own-adventure franchise.
