Introducing two notable academic and industry heavyweights as our Featured Speakers at the SIGGRAPH Asia 2011 conference in Hong Kong – Ken Perlin, Professor in the Department of Computer Science at New York University, and Bill Buxton, Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research - both of whom will share their expertise with the conference attendees.

Ken Perlin
Widely respected and emulated for his Academy Award-winning work in noise and turbulence procedural texturing techniques, which are used in feature films and television today, and recipient of the 2008 ACM SIGGRAPH Computer Graphics Achievement Award, Ken Perlin is deemed as one of the industry’s top innovators.

Bill Buxton
With over 30 years of involvement in research, design and commentary around the human aspects of technology, Bill Buxton is well-known in the industry. Recipient of the 2008 ACM SIGCHI Lifetime Achievement Award for fundamental contributions to the field of human-computer interaction, attendees can look forward to gain valuable insights.
