Warner Bros. TV is in talks with DC Entertainment to develop a TV series based on Neil Gaiman's THE SANDMAN, reports Heat Vision. SUPERNATURAL creator Eric Kripke is WBTV's top choice to adapt the beloved comic series.

The comic followed Morpheus, aka Dream, a god of dreams, who seeks revenge against those that imprisoned him for 70 years.

For years, SANDMAN has been through the rounds of feature development. Recently, however, DC was discussing a TV adaptation with HBO and James Mangold.

Currently, Gaiman is not involved in the WBTV project, but the development is still very early.
