Prime Suspect Creator To Adapt Period Pirate Series

Lynda La Plante, the creator of PRIME SUSPECT, is set to develop Marcus Rediker’s historical pirate book VILLAINS OF ALL NATIONS into a TV series, reports Deadline.com. The drama will deal with pirating at its height in the 17th and 18th centuries. Lionsgate TV is behind the project. La Plante will exec produce with Alexandra Milchan and Alessandro Camo.
