SOUTH PARK creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have teamed up with AVENUE Q composer/lyricist Robert Lopez to create a new stage musical, reports VARIETY. The untitled production will run at the Off Broadway's New York Theater Workshop, where RENT originally played, from August through September.

Plot is being kept quiet, but rumors say that it will be a critique of Mormonism. Also the word is that Jason Moore (AVENUE Q, SHREK THE MUSICAL) will direct and Dan Knechtges (XANADU, THE 25TH ANNUAL PUTNAM COUNTY SPELLING BEE) will choreograph.
