Park Village, one of London’s leading production companies, has signed directors James Rogan and Aasaf Ainapore. They join Park Village alongside Johan Brisinger, Jim Hayton, Omid Nooshin, Charlie Stebbings, Peter Webb and Roger Woodburn.

Rogan started his film career at the tender age of 14 when he worked as a cameraman on the Channel 4/Children’s Film Unit’s production, WILLIE’S WAR. He went on to shoot another two further features for the CFU as cameraman and advanced to director of photography.

He directed his first feature, DEAD BOLT DEAD, between leaving school and starting university at Oxford. It premiered in Cannes in 2000 and he was hailed by THE TIMES “as a great British hope.”

Rogan directed THE OPEN DOORS, a high-profile short staring Michael Sheen and Cherie Lunghi. He has since been commissioned by Oscar-winning producer Eric Abraham to write his next feature, BRING THEM BACK, a comedy set in Spain.

Throughout his films, Rogan displays a keen eye for performance and a passion for dynamic camera work. His mastery of these fundamentals of cinema makes him one of the most promising and skilled directors.

He is in post-production with Park Village, working on a Honda project for Wieden+Kennedy.

Ainapore cut his teeth on two heavily acclaimed shorts, earning both BAFTA and Oscar nominations.

With a reputation for great casting combined with a strong visual style and unique comic touch, Ainapore recently finished a new campaign for JWTLondon and other recent work includes COI, Clearasil and Conquer.

He is working on several personal film projects, one of which is a collaboration with composer Nitin Sawhney on a biopic of the legendary '60s Sri Lankan motorcycle racer Fricky Khan. He most recently was at Great Guns.

Park Village md, Freya Noble, said, “We are thrilled that James and Aasaf have joined us. James’s highly accomplished work belies his years and clearly he has a very exciting future in both commercial and features. Aasaf’s ability to extract confident performances from children and adults alike shows his persuasive and calm personality”.

Park Village (www.parkvilliage.co.uk) was established in 1973 and is the only Central London production company to have a fully operational studio, casting suite and cinema all under one roof. Two of the original members, Peter Webb and Roger Woodburn, still maintain a strong influence in the work ethos.
