Paramount has snatched up the hot spec script HYPERDRIVE from Morgan Jurgenson (TUCKER AND DALE VS. EVIL) and David Daniels (which is a pseudonym for Panay Films' vp of production Alex Ankeles), writes Heat Vision. The story follows a cop and nerdy sci-fi author who team up to track down a murder witness amidst an intergalactic intrigue plot playing out on Earth.

Disruption Ent.'s Mary Parent is the producer. Cale Boyter will oversee the film for Disruption.
