Bruce C. McKenna, co-exec producer and writer of the Emmy-winning miniseries THE PACIFIC, has sold a pitch on The Battle Of Midway to Warner Bros., reports Deadline.com. The expected $200 million production will be in 3-D.

The film will follow the turning point in WWII when the Imperial Japanese Navy took heavy loses from which it never recovered.

Akiva Goldsman's Weed Road is set to produce.
