Liberty Media is looking to reduce its financial obligations to Starz Media, which includes Overture, so the division's leaders are now exploring a buyout of the unit, VARIETY reports.

Chris McGurk and Danny Rosett have been talking with investors about a proposal that would keep Overture intact, including all 75 employees, while Liberty could retain an interest in the company.
