Ottawa Winner to Direct Sci-fi Version of Heart of Darkness

Peter Cornwell, who won Best First/Student Film at Ottawa for his stop-motion short WARD 13, has been hired by Radar Pictures to direct INTO THE DARKNESS, reports Variety. Adapted from Joseph Conrad's HEART OF DARKNESS by Tony Giglio and Branden Morgan, the story will follow a dangerous space mission to retrieve the insane Kurtz.

Radar's Ted Field and Mike Weber are the producers. Arclight Films will rep worldwide sales.

Cornwell made his live-action feature directing debut on the horror film THE HAUNTING IN CONNECTICUT.
