DreamWorks Animation has tapped Gary Oldman for the voice cast of KUNG FU PANDA: THE KABOOM OF DOOM, reports HEAT VISION. Jennifer Yuh Nelson is the director.

The story follows the search of Po (Jack Black) for other pandas as he encounters a bandit crew. Oldman will take on the role of a peacock who helps Po, but turns out to be something different than he appears to be.

DreamWorks plans to release the 3-D film in summer 2011.
