Perry Moore, co-producer of THE CHRONICLES OF NARNIA franchise, died on Thursday, Feb. 17, of an accidental overdose of painkiller OxyContin, reports ComingSoon.net. His partner Hunter Hill found him dead in his New York City apartment. Moore had been suffering from serious back pain for years. He was 39 years old.

In addition to producing the NARNIA series, Moore co-wrote, co-produced and co-directed with Hunter the 2008 drama LAKE CITY, which starred Sissy Spacek and Troy Garrity.

He had recently secured funding for a fourth NARNIA film based on THE MAGICIAN'S NEPHEW and was working on an adaptation of his book HERO, about a gay superhero, with Starz.
