Dan Lombardo has been named senior producer at Cinesite Hollywood. He will oversee daily operations of the 2D and 3D departments. He previously worked as an executive producer and vice president of production at Computer Film Company (CFC) and Manex Visual Effects. His credits include MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE 2, ROMEO MUST DIE, ARMAGEDDON, DEVIL'S ADVOCATE, THE FIFTH ELEMENT and THE ISLAND OF DR. MOREAU. He also led the team that earned an Emmy for Best Visual Effects for the pilot episode of EARTH 2. "Dan brings a wealth of experience to our visual effects team," said Ruth Scovill, president and COO of Cinesite Hollywood. "I have been looking forward to working with Dan again since we worked together at Digital Domain. I know from experience that his management skills, in addition to his extensive knowledge of physical and visual effects and client relations, is the right combination for this job." Lombardo said, "Cinesite has assembled a strong creative management team and I am excited to be a part of it. Their growth goals for the future are exponential and dovetail with mine-to become a creative solution for the studios and filmmakers early on through artwork and pre-visualization, broaden our director/producer client base, create a stronger character team and develop mutually beneficial relationships with regard to co-producing content-based entertainment."
