Justin Lin has walked away from directing Summit's reboot of HIGHLANDER, reports Heat Vision. He will remain as exec producer. Lin backed out due to his commitments to direct the next FAST AND FURIOUS and TERMINATOR installments.

The original film followed the centuries old battle between immortals to kill off the other immortals leaving one super powered immortal left.

Art Marcum and Matt Holloway penned the screenplay. Neal H. Mortiz and Peter Davis are the producers alongside exec producers RCR Media Group’s Rui Costa Reis and Eliad Josephson.
