Janet Hill has been named to head up West Coast communications for MTV Networks, which includes the channels MTV, VH1, Nickelodeon/Nick at Nite, TNN, TV Land and CMT. In her new position, Hill will be responsible for all internal and external communications for MTV Networks in its West Coast offices, which includes business, trade and consumer publicity. The position also involves managing the media relations and community outreach for programming, production, ancillary businesses, events and feature films for MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies, as well as promoting West Coast based annual MTVN events, such as Nickelodeon's KIDS' CHOICE AWARDS, the MY VH1 MUSIC AWARDS and MTV's ICON. Prior to this appointment, Hill was executive VP Publicity for Miramax Films in Los Angeles.
