Cary Fukunaga (JANE EYRE) has inked a deal to direct Universal's sci-fi flick SPACELESS, writes Heat Vision. He will also redo the script from Jeff Vintar.

In the story, an assassin tumbles through space in a spacesuit. He tries to piece together what happened to him after he snuck onto a space station with orders to kill someone. After awhile he starts to question his sanity and the reality of the situation.

BlindWink Prods.' Gore Verbinski is producing with Vintar exec producing. Peter Cramer and Sara Scott will shepherd for Universal.
