Deadline Hollywood has an exclusive on pre-production coming to a screeching halt on HALLOWEEN 3-D, which is due in theaters next October.

A first version of the script, written by Todd Farmer, came in last Friday and Bob Weinstein of Dimension Films shut down pre-production because he "just felt it was rushing too fast," according to Deadline Hollywood.

The film was on the fast track to get it completed before January when director Patrick Lussier is lined up to begin working on another film, DRIVE ANGRY. But now Dimension plans to put the film on hold until Lussier is free.
