Michel Gondry is set to write and direct a screen version of Philip K. Dick's classic sci-fi novel UBIK, reports Deadline.com. The story follows a group of agents, who can block the psychic powers of others, tasked to stop telepaths from taking over a moon-based company.

Steve Zaillian, Steve Golin, Film Rites and Anonymous Content are producing alongside exec producer Garrett Basch. Film Rites has a first look deal with DreamWorks.
