Gerry Lewis takes on new role at DreamWorks

Gerry Lewis, currently the co-head of international distribution and
marketing for DreamWorks, will retire from that post in September 1999 to
play a new role for the company, it was announced today by DreamWorks
principal Jeffrey Katzenberg. Lewis has entered into a three-year
agreement, under which he will consult on the international marketing
activities of all films directed by Steven Spielberg (for DreamWorks and
other studios), as well as any sequels to or other versions of projects
originally produced under the Amblin Entertainment banner. Jonathan
Chissick, who has served as co-head of international distribution and
marketing with Lewis since August 1997, will take over sole responsibility
for DreamWorks' international operations, working in partnership with
international film distributors United International Pictures (UIP) and
Cheil. DreamWorks SKG was formed in October, 1994, by its three principal
partners, Steven Spielberg, Jeffrey Katzenberg and David Geffen, to produce
live-action motion pictures; animated feature films; network, syndicated
and cable television programming; home video entertainment; records; books;
toys; consumer products and interactive entertainment.
