The strip ran on Veterans Day. The strip features Garfield and a spider discussing how a day of remembrance would be held if the arachnid were ever killed. The strip ends with a class of spiders celebrating "National Stupid Day." Davis drew the cartoon nearly a year before it ran. His son served tours in both Iraq and Afghanistan.
