Former Sony Pictures Ent. co-president Matt Tolmach has set up his first producing project with a contemporary take on FRANKENSTEIN from writer Craig Fernandez, reports Deadline.com. His new Matt Tolmach Productions has inked a multi-year deal with Sony.

Tolmach is also a producer on the new SPIDER-MAN film.

Fernandez has been working with DreamWorks Animation on several projects. He adapted Terry Pratchett's THE BROMELIAD TRILOGY into EVERYTHING MUST GO and Octavia Butler's CLAY'S ARK.
