Entertainment Rights (ER) Plc, the U.K.-based media group specializing in the ownership of children's and family programming, characters and brands, has announced the appointment of Adam Selly as Head of Sales (excluding the U.S., Canada and Japan). In the newly created position, Selly will be responsible for generating and maximizing revenue across the ER group's entire television and home entertainment businesses, exploiting opportunities within existing successful markets and identifying new revenue streams in emerging markets. He will also be the main conduit within ER for developing existing third-party relationships with both producers and rights owners and successfully forging new partnerships.

Selly will oversee a distribution team that already manages a portfolio of over 3,500 hours of content, including POSTMAN PAT, RUPERT BEAR, BASIL BRUSH, FINLEY THE FIRE ENGINE, JIM JAM & SUNNY, CASPER, and WHERE'S WALLY. He joins ER with twenty years of experience within the wider television industry. Prior to joining ER, Selly founded Dynamite Ent. Ltd, a production company and distributor specializing in kids animation, and he spent six years with Hit Ent. overseeing sales, licensing and merchandise for Asia Pacific.
