Writer Eric Heisserer (A NIGHTMARE ON ELM STREET remake) is set to pen New Line's FINAL DESTINATION 5, reports HEAT VISION. No plot details have been announced, but it's safe to say that a group of teenagers will cheat death and then one by one die in elaborate ways as Death collects his missing souls. Only detail out so far is "laser eye surgery."

Craig Perry will return as producer. New Line is looking for directors who can shoot the film in 3-D next year.
