Cindy Elfenbein joins DIC Entertainment (DIC), as exec director of Retail Consumer Products to serve as the company’s retail expert and liaison between the licensees and retailers. She will be responsible for building relationships with the retailers and developing support for DIC’s brand properties, including STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE and the recently announced TROLLZ. She will develop and implement programs and promotional opportunities to support the brands at retail across all categories, as well as develop sales and marketing strategies with licensees.

Elfenbein, with more than 20 years experience in retail and licensing, most recently served for seven years as a senior account exec at Warner Bros. Consumer Products where she created, developed and executed retail marketing and promotional programs, focusing on the Wal-Mart account, for a variety of high-profile licensed brands, including HARRY POTTER, BATMAN, SCOOBY-DOO, THE POWER PUFF GIRLS and LOONEY TUNES. Elfenbein also managed Warner’s licensing business with other retail accounts such as Payless ShoeSource, Dillards and May Co. department stores. Elfenbein’s efforts drove incremental revenue by increasing sell-in of licensed merchandise. She also managed retail sales data and information daily through Wal-Mart’s retail link system.

“We are thrilled to have an executive of Cindy’s caliber join our consumer products’ team at DIC,” said Nancy Bassett, svp, Worldwide Consumer Products, DIC. “She brings a wealth of experience and expertise and will be invaluable in DIC’s further efforts to build solid retail relationships and bring quality children’s product to the marketplace.
