David O. Russell has dropped out of Sony's adaptation of the PS3 game UNCHARTED: DRAKE'S FORTUNE, reports Variety. The reason is being reported as creative differences. Russell was also set to rewrite the script from Thomas Dean Donnelly and Joshua Oppenheimer. The studio is still looking for a scribe to rework the script.

Russell's FIGHTER star Mark Wahlberg was set to star alongside Robert De Niro and Joe Pesci. It's unlikely they will stay with a new director. Avi Arad, Ari Arad, Charles Roven and Alex Gartner are the producers.
