Patrick Alessandrin (DISTRICT 13: ULTIMATUM) has left the director's chair of the adaptation of the Eidos Interactive videogame KANE & LYNCH, reports 24 Frames. Now producers Nu Image/Millennium and Lionsgate are in search of a new helmer. Wayne Kramer (RUNNING SCARED) and F. Gary Gray (ITALIAN JOB) had been circling the project before and are now two of the top contenders to return to the project. Additionally, the studio is in talks with Antoine Fuqua (BROOKLYN'S FINEST).

Bruce Willis and Jamie Foxx are set to star as death row inmates who escape from prison and conduct a huge bank heist.

The film had been scheduled to start filming in October and now won't go before cameras until early 2011.
