Syfy Channel and Canada's Showcase Television have hired Adam Kane (HEROES) to helm the pilot of the supernatural show, HAVEN, created by Stephen King, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER.

Set in the fictional town of Haven, Maine, Emily Rose (DAMAGES) takes the role of an FBI agent investigating the murder of an ex-con. Cast includes Lucas Bryant, Eric Balfour, Richard Donat and John Dunsworth.

E1 is the producer. Shawn Piller, Lloyd Segan and Scott Shepherd are exec producing. Universal Networks International is also co-funding. It holds international pay-TV broadcast rights, excluding Canada, U.S. and Scandinavia.

Filming has begun in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia.
