David S. Goyer (THE DARK KNIGHT) has been tapped to rewrite Legendary Pictures' GODZILLA reboot, reports Deadline.com. David Callaham (THE EXPENDABLES) penned the original draft.

Gareth Edwards (MONSTERS) is set to direct. Legendary's Thomas Tull and Jon Jashni are producing.

Warner Bros. will distribute in the States, while GODZILLA owner Toho Co. will handle the Japanese release.
