Bill Damaschke has been promoted to the post of chief creative officer at DreamWorks Animation, reports Variety. Damaschke formerly held the post of co-president of production for feature animation, which he shared duties with John Batter.

He joined DreamWorks as a production coordinator on PRINCE OF EGYPT. In 1999, he became head of creative production, and then added development to that title in 2005.
