Could True Blood Season 5 Be Last for Creator Ball?

Coming right as the fourth season is set to premiere, TRUE BLOOD creator Alan Ball is in negotiations for a fifth season, which could be his last, reports The Hollywood Reporter. The Oscar winner told the trade pub that he might not "have any left in me after" a fifth go-around. But he did leave it open that he isn't making any concrete decisions until after the fifth season.

The showrunner joked that if the series went 13 seasons, one for every book in Charlaine Harris’ series, they'd have to make up a reason for aging vampire. Maybe a bad batch of Tru Blood?

Ball is confident that the series could continue without him.
